Fundy National Park — waterfalls, forest, and the world's highest tides.

On the New Brunswick side of the upper Bay of Fundy, Fundy National Park protects 207 square kilometres of Acadian forest, salmon rivers, and coastal cliffs. The park entrance sits right on the bay — with coastal seafood spots, bakeries, and a front-row view of the 12-metre tide.

At the park

Fundy National Park stretches from the bay shore up into the Caledonia Highlands. Expect old-growth spruce, more than 25 waterfalls, and viewpoints out over Chignecto Bay. The tide here rises and falls about 12 metres twice a day — the park wharf is a great place to watch fishing boats sit on the mud, then float again six hours later.

Mid-May through mid-October for full services and warm weather
June and September are quietest with the best hiking weather
Check tide charts before beach walks at Point Wolfe or the bay shore
Fall foliage peaks in early October
